Laurent Wozniak, Executive Chef at Mandarin Oriental, a man who has discovered his passion over the years.

Laurent Wozniak wasn’t sure he had the vocation to become a cook or even a chef. No, as time went by and he discovered gastronomy in the Parisian palaces. It was at the Crillon and then at the Ritz that he cut his teeth, before working alongside chef and Meilleur Ouvrier de France Michel Roth. After six years in the French capital, he sought a new challenge, which in 2005 took him to the French-speaking part of Switzerland, where he worked successively at the Lausanne Palace, La Réserve, Président Wilson and Palace de Menton. On the strength of these diverse and rich experiences, he is now Executive Chef at the Mandarin Oriental in Geneva.

Don’t get me wrong, the “palace” world appeals to him for the work atmosphere, the large brigades and the teamwork, not for the glitter. In fact, it’s rock notes he’s got us listening to, with classics like Nirvana and the Red Hot Chili Peppers… Let’s Rock it!
