Grandson of a restaurateur, son of a wine merchant, graduate of the Lausanne Hotel School, food columnist, epicurean, as much a food lover as a gourmet, hedonist, poet… the idea of writing about gastronomy seemed like a natural fit for me. My goal is, above all, to highlight and introduce chefs, restaurant owners, producers, sommeliers, and creators who pour their heart and soul into their craft. So, join me on this wonderful culinary adventure filled with delicacies, surprises, and pleasures. A culinary columnist with a hat, Geneva native Édouard Amoiel prefers to remain anonymous so he can better reveal the personalities of those who bring the country’s restaurants to life.
