Urusai is first and foremost a culinary experience. Arthur Cohen (head of Parisian restaurants Ojii and Onii-San), together with Ojii chef Yuji Mikuriya and Onii-San chef Romain Littière, has come up with a new culinary experience. A menu that sublimates Balearic produce through Japanese cuisine and signature creations. Conceived as a Tokyo tapas bar, the izakaya, the result of a collaboration between El Silencio and Parisian restaurant Onii-san, reinvents the way local produce is cooked. The Iberian-Japanese menu gives pride of place to the treasures of the sea: roja prawn carpaccio with shiso oil, crispy rice, dashi & bisque caramel; temaris sushi with o-toro and osciètre caviar; Onii-San’s iconic toro sando or sobas sushi with sea urchin and shiitake cream. But that’s not all: local vegetables are given pride of place: Ibizan vegetable tempura with black garlic-fermented honey, binchotan-smoked tomatoes and miso-wasabi sauce, or miso-flavored eggplant dengaku. Adjacent to this new restaurant, a Japanese Listening Bar occupies the central space of the Beach House. A place to relax and enjoy the sunset, while time stands still.
