Under the sun at Trempette
Njomza Emini and Victoria have been in the restaurant business for over ten years. Their desire to launch their own concept became a reality when they responded to a call for tenders to run a lakeside bar. A first entrepreneurial experience that already proved its worth during the previous season.
Trempette is divided into two distinct areas: a terrace where you can enjoy plates to share, and a deckchair area where you can enjoy a glass of natural wine or a refreshing homemade lemonade. Although the name was imposed by the city of Geneva, it has inspired a veritable guideline: dips in bread, lips brushing a glass and feet plunging into water.
Trempette is an authentic place where tourists and Genevans rub shoulders, where frankness and generosity meet to offer a lively experience, and where you feel right at home. On the menu, local and seasonal products are given pride of place, thanks to close collaboration with small local producers. “We decided to showcase our friends’ products, from micro-farm vegetables to wines from small winegrowers,” says Victoria. Gourmet salads, grilled cheeses and sharing plates are served from lunchtime to evening, with a breathtaking view of the lake. A place designed to make the most of the moment, without moderation.
