Tony Lecuroux at Café de la Plage

After structuring and building the wine list at Michelin-starred restaurant Njørden, Tony Lecuroux began his career at Café de la Plage alongside Tom Hutrel in the kitchen. The arrival of this young Swiss sommelier brings a breath of youth and professionalism to the Place de Neuve. Tony will have the onerous task of constructing and restructuring the restaurant’s wine list to match the cuisine of young Tom Hutrel. As announced in December 2023, Benjamin Luzuy, owner of the Gourmet Brothers group (and also instigator of Bottle Brothers and Café de la Plage), has taken over the Auberge Port Gitana in Bellevue, and Tony Lecuroux will also be at the forefront of wine production for this major new venture. With an opening planned for next spring, the young sommelier has his work cut out for him. We look forward to getting to know this talent, who we are lucky enough to have back in Geneva. His watchwords: accessibility, diversity, reflection and collaboration. That says it all!
