Closed since 2020, the legendary Delano Miami Beach has just reopened after a $100 million renovation. A return that goes far beyond the hotel itself: a whole part of South Beach's history is back in the spotlight.

For many, it wasn’t just a hotel. It was a vision. That of a sun-drenched, ever-spectacular Miami, where the immense white curtains designed by Philippe Starck floated above a pool that had become as famous as some of its guests. Closed since 2020, the Delano Miami Beach has just reopened its doors after a renovation estimated at over $100 million. Behind its carefully preserved Art Deco facade, the establishment now unveils a new face, with 171 rooms and suites, a wellness area, a private club and several dining concepts designed to appeal to a new generation of travelers. And that’s where the challenge lies. When the Delano opened its doors in the 1990s, it helped define the very identity of South Beach. Today, luxury hotels are multiplying in Miami as elsewhere. More numerous, larger, sometimes more spectacular. Yet few of them are becoming symbols. To accompany this new chapter, the establishment is counting on two eagerly awaited tables. On one side, Gigi Rigolattoan Italian address already present in Paris, Saint-Tropez and Dubai. On the other, Mimi Kakushian Osaka-inspired Japanese restaurant in its first American venture. These two brands reflect the hotel’s ambition to once again become a gastronomic destination as well as a place to stay.
