Side Chick: Official Opening on August 1

The date is set! After several weeks of teasers, Lucas Jeanneret and Adrian Smith have officially announced the launch of Side Chick, their new fried chicken restaurant. On August¹ —Swiss National Day—the first crispy chickens will come out of the kitchens at their Eaux-Vives arcade location. Before that, an opening party is scheduled for July 31. The first 300 burgers will be offered at the symbolic price of 3 francs to kick off the festivities. On August¹ and 2, the entire menu will then be offered at a 50% discount—a deal that’s sure to create a buzz… and likely a long line out the door.

It must be said that the founders of Pretty Patty have perfectly mastered the formula for a successful launch. After winning over smash burger lovers, they’re now turning their attention to fried chicken with an offering that promises to be generous, crispy, and spicy. All that’s left to do is roll up your sleeves. Because a good fried chicken sandwich is rarely eaten with elegance. It’s best enjoyed with your fingers, a few napkins… and a smile from ear to ear.
