Michelin Guide rates wine
Le Michelin Guide expands its universe and ventures into the vineyards with “Les Grappes”, a new distinction that will reward the most remarkable wine estates from 2026 onwards. Inspired by the spirit of the stars, this new classification will assess estates in their entirety: quality of agronomy, precision of vinification, identity of wines, balance and consistency over several vintages. Three levels – one, two or three clusters – will distinguish high quality estates up to absolute excellence, while a simple mention may encourage other promising producers. The first regions concerned will be Burgundy and Bordeaux, before a gradual extension to the rest of France and beyond. This is Michelin’s way of offering an additional benchmark to wine lovers and professionals alike, and of further inscribing its seal on the art of living.
