Jardin Diodore, sharing the plate
Le Jardin Diodore is at the crossroads of bar and gastronomy. At its inception, the project was imagined as a short-lived concept in the heart of the Geneva countryside. A name was quickly chosen: “jardin” for its conviviality and “Diodore” in reference to the historian who wrote about the hanging gardens of Babylon. And yet, on boulevard Carl-Vogt, it’s not a garden that you discover, but an intimate establishment. This is where the name takes on its full meaning: the quest for an almost imaginary place, existing only through storytelling… at least for now.
Joshua and Vanessa are writing the history of Le Jardin Diodore. Nourished by their many travels around the world, they give Alice carte blanche to compose a local and seasonal cuisine, punctuated by original flavors. The menu includes crème brûlée-style halloumi, sautéed kimchi with perfect egg and miso, and green tacos with oyster mushrooms. At the bar, Loïs plays with ingredients and creates daring cocktails, such as Sweet Memory of Yucatán, combining whisky, homemade banana oleo and habanero pepper.
At Jardin Diodore, the invitation to travel is omnipresent, carried by Asian, Mediterranean and Latin American inspirations. A promising address, which we look forward to discovering season after season.
