From Valais to Armenia: CAVE celebrates spring
With temperatures already starting to feel like summer, the Cave remains faithful to one of its most eagerly-awaited traditions: its spring tasting. On Friday June 12, from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Club des Amateurs de Vins Exquis will bring together 13 winemakers from Switzerland, France, Italy and Armenia for an afternoon of discovery. On the program: three cuvées to be tasted by each estate, with the possibility of leaving directly with one’s favorites. Among the new wines to look out for, the Weingut Fromm estate in Graubünden makes its debut in the Cave catalog. The journey continues in Valais with Andreas Bolliger, before a stopover in Champagne at Bonnet-Gilmert. Then on to the southern Rhône Valley with Michel Gassier, followed by Beaujolais with Domaine Paul Janin. The Jura region will also be represented by Domaine François Rousset-Martin, while Piedmont will be represented by Azienda Agricola Accornero. And for those who like to get off the beaten track, Domaine Zorah will be offering a particularly intriguing stopover, straight from Armenia. A convivial, gourmet rendez-vous that should appeal to both enlightened wine lovers and the curious in search of new bottles to discover.
