Following on from the success of Tuba Club, the Marseilles-based team now offers an Italian escape with Ciccino. A short menu, smart wines and a chic, relaxed atmosphere.

In Marseille, the Tuba Club team is back at it again, this time with their sights set on Italy. Their new table, Ciccinois inspired by the Transalpine peninsula, with a short, gourmet menu: elegant vitello tonnato, comfortingly accurate penne alla carbonara, and finely sourced charcuterie to accompany the aperitif or extend the evening. In just two months, the house already boasts a well-crafted wine list, rich in fine Burgundy and Piedmontese allocations, led by a sommelier as astute as he is generous. As soon as you enter, the open kitchen sets the tone: here, the cooking is real, with no tricks. A lively bar extends the stage, where classic and inventive cocktails are served in the hands of a barman in a white tuxedo, a chic nod to the world of Cipriani – but in a relaxed Phocéenne version. Ciccino’s is like the Italy of Marseilles: precise, joyful and terribly lively.
