Casti Launches Its Regional Dinners
On September 16, Casti will launch “Hors-série,” a new series of dinners conceived as a journey through Italy’s various regions. For each event, a menu inspired by local specialties will be paired with wines from a regional winery. For this first edition, Sacha Nadim, the founder of Casti, has chosen Abruzzo, his family’s region of origin. The evening will be centered around his memories of vacations in Castiglione, large family gatherings, Ferragosto in the mountains, and meals shared along the Pescara waterfront.
Seafood Platter
After an aperitif accompanied by charcoal-grilled arrosticini, the menu will continue with crudo di mare , calamari gratinati al forno , chitarrina with gambero di fiume , and then lamb porchetta served with baked potatoes. For dessert, crispy cones filled with pastry cream will evoke the founder’s childhood memories.
The wines from the family-owned Lidia & Amato estate, located in Controguerra in the hills of Teramo, will be served with dinner. This is an intimate first stop before continuing the journey through Italy, from one region to the next.
