Burberry Outfits the Belles Rives Hotel
This summer, Burberry is taking over theHôtel Belles Rivesin Cap d’Antibes. With beach umbrellas, lounge chairs, a dock, and a beach club, the British fashion house is putting its stamp on one of the Riviera’s most iconic establishments to mark the launch of its High Summer 2026 collection.
The event is spectacular. It’s also part of an increasingly prominent trend. Dior, Jacquemus, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Loro Piana, and Burberry: season after season, the major luxury houses are taking over the world’s most coveted beaches, terraces, and hotels, transforming these vacation spots into veritable open-air showrooms.
It’s impossible to know the terms of the agreement between Burberry and Belles Rives. But one question bears asking: as we see the same brands setting up shop, summer after summer, in legendary establishments, don’t these partnerships risk compromising the uniqueness of these destinations? For while these collaborations offer the hotels global visibility, they also contribute to a form of standardization of destinations and the high-end customer experience. From Saint-Tropez to Antibes, from Capri to Bodrum, the settings change… but the brands often remain the same.
