In collaboration with Wine District, the Sachi restaurant welcomes Laurent-Perrier and Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret for a rare dialogue between Champagne, Burgundy and Japanese haute cuisine.

At the Mandarin Oriental Geneva, the Sachi restaurant will host an exceptional wine evening on March 25, orchestrated by Wine Districtthe wine company founded by Charles Villa and Morgane Covino-Bellido. The house of Laurent-Perrier will open the dinner with a Blanc de Blancs brut nature as aperitif, accompanied by beef & oyster tartare with caviar. The Cuvée Héritage (served in magnum) is followed by a crispy rice with tuna tartar and a yellow tail with shiso salsa verde. The highlight of this first sequence is the 2008 Dégorgement Tardif, also served in magnum. The Burgundy domaine then takes over with the Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret. Around beef sashimi with yuzu and sesame oil, black cod with yuzu miso or grilled Kagoshima wagyu with teriyaki anticucho, Vincent Mongeard will present his emblematic cuvées, including Vosne-Romanée “En Orveaux” Premier Cru 2016. To conclude, a Grand-Échezeaux Grand Cru 2015 will sublimate a 70% dark chocolate mousse, crunchy sesame and blackcurrant-blackberry confit. A dinner conceived as a precise encounter between Japanese precision and great French terroirs.
