Fades del Granit, 2023, Celler Cosmic

Maria Elena Rossi, head of communications and sommellerie at Le Passeur de Vin, shares one of her recent wine discoveries with us. We’re in sunny Girona, Catalonia, by the sea, at the Cellar Cosmic vineyard. A beautiful 9.5-hectare estate where the vines flourish in the most natural way possible, on granite sand soil, with ecological and biodynamic farming, committed to enhancing the value of Catalan native grape varieties with a fresh eye. A natural sparkling wine composed of 50% Grenache rouge, 30% Carignan blanc and 20% Carignan gris, it has a lovely fruity structure on the nose, with notes of crushed raspberry and grapefruit, and a finish of fine bitters and a touch of salinity reminiscent of certain summer cocktails. A revitalizing sparkling wine, gourmand and full of freshness. Enjoy without moderation by the lake, weather permitting.
