Julien Meurillon at the Hôtel d’Angleterre
After working for a long time in the South of France, Julien Meurillon moved to Marrakech, where he created several wine lists. Back in the south, he helped open L’Arbre Blanc in Montpellier. During the few years he worked in this atypical restaurant, he was named best sommelier in France by the Gault & Millau guide, and his “life turned upside down”. His taste for travel never left him, and he decided to come to Switzerland to help Matthias Waser take over the gastronomic restaurant La Teinturerie in Delémont. In less than 6 months, they were awarded a Michelin star, and Julien Meurillon won the title of Best Sommelier in Switzerland by the Red Bible.
Always on the lookout for new adventures, Julien Meurillon seized the opportunity to work at Windows in theHôtel d’Angleterre, where we have the privilege of discovering a varied menu featuring wines from his home region. The sommelier has a few surprises in store for us over the coming weeks, including a small-format decanter to showcase wines selected by himself.
