F.P. Journe sommelier Bogdan Tand has quickly established himself as one of Geneva's leading wine experts. It's time to shine the spotlight on this discreet sommelier.

Alongside the imperturbable Pascal Brault in the dining room, sommelier Bogdan Tand moves from table to table with ease and discretion. The wine recommendations of this discreet, calm-voiced figure make for a confident and serene tasting experience. Bogdan Tand’s youth and experience, a mainstay of chef Dominique Gauthier, command respect and have been an asset since the restaurant opened. F.P. Journe. Recently awarded a Michelin star, the famous watchmaker’s restaurant is continuing its success story. The sommelier has built up an eclectic menu, selecting bottle after bottle, estate after estate.

Bogdan Tand was born in Romania and grew up in Italy. He quickly fell in love with the world of wine during his first tasting session. With his diploma from the École Hôtelière de Strasbourg in his pocket, he landed his first job at the Beau-Rivage in Ouchy at Anne-Sophie Pic’s restaurant in 2017. After four years of loyal tastings, he decided to leave the shores of Lausanne for the shores of Lake Geneva, more precisely at the Beau-Rivage de Genève in the Chat-Botté team, where he met… Dominique Gauthier. Following Gauthier’s departure to open F.P. Journe, the young sommelier followed him to join the Rue du Rhône adventure, thus completing a formidable team.
