Still unknown to the latest culinary trends, acai fruit is quietly making its appearance in Switzerland. Reminiscent of blueberry pulp, they are harvested in the heart of the Amazon rainforest and then cold-pressed. Often combined with the red berries of Guarana, this pure cocktail of happiness and well-being with its multiple combinations melts the hearts of gourmets. Immerse yourself in this colorful world of flavors with its most loyal ambassador, Nathalie Jungi, who decided three years ago to franchise this elixir, already very popular in Brazil.

Influence marketing
At just over 80 meters tall, Nathalie Jungi is a veritable vitamin powerhouse. Of Brazilian origin, this hyperactive entrepreneur with a cheerful personality arrived on the shores of Lausanne at the age of two and learned to juggle perfectly between the two diametrically opposed cultures she loves with impartiality and passion. Far from being a diligent student, the young Nathalie realized that the rigidity of the school world was not for her. Despite this, she obtained her maturité fédérale and decided to spend a few months in her native land. “I needed to get away from it all and recharge my batteries as close as possible to my roots. This trip enabled me to really come to terms with who I was and where I’d come from.

On her return, she joined a marketing agency, specializing in the launch of new products for the Swiss market, for major international groups. After a spell with multinationals, Nathalie joined a small marketing company specializing in innovative product research. “After spending the early part of my career working for large corporations, I needed to return to a professional environment on a human scale”.
Coup de coeur
Always on the lookout for new entrepreneurial challenges, she got back in touch with her best friend, mentor and now partner, Antonio Palumbo. After an initial tasting, the founder of The Cool Factory agency fell under the spell of the product, still unknown locally to the general public. Between them, they were the first to launch Acai in Switzerland. All that remained was to find a reliable independent retailer who could export the original product.
After countless recipe trials to bring the product as close as possible to local Brazilian culture, the duo met Miguel Texeira da Silva, the pope of acai and founder of Açaï Concept in Brazil. The pair fell in love with the product and decided to invest in it and franchise the brand for the Swiss market. This is how Açaï Concept came into being in September 2018. Even in the midst of the Covid-19 turmoil, the boss stands firm and retains total confidence in her product. “We managed to overcome the pandemic,” she declares before continuing, “the concept is constantly evolving. Genuine organic fruit pulp, ultra-concentrated in antioxidants, immune system booster, lactose-free and gluten-free, the product is right up there with the times”. With one arcade in Geneva and two in Lausanne, this small business is still in its infancy and promises to be a great adventure.
