Always under the sign of the gourmet and the vine, the founders of Wine Districtfounders Morgane Covino-Bellido and Charles Villa have pulled out all the stops by offering a private dinner at the restaurant Gallo for what promises to be a colorful evening of wine. On Wednesday March 19, from 7.30pm, guests will be welcomed to chef Jacopo Romagnoli’s gastronomic stronghold by Burgundy estate Vincent Dancer and Porte Rouge, Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s new rising star. We’ve already learned that a Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Romanée will be paired with wild fish braised by the chef. At Domaine Porte Rouge, winemaker Justine Féraud will be offering three cuvées for tasting, two of which are parcel wines (one 100% Grenache produced in 600 units, and one 100% Syrah produced in 300 units on the Piedlong terroirs). To accompany the red wine, the chef is planning a superb Bernese Oberland veal chop with morels and smoked potatoes.
