Tom Hutrel joins the Gallo
His presence behind the stove, dressed in his white kitchen jacket, was a real but very pleasant surprise, when we caught a glimpse of him at a recent dinner at the Gallo. Tom Hutrel has arrived at 26, boulevard du Pont d’Arve – is that really surprising? Formerly Jacopo Romagnoli’s second-in-command at Café de la Plage – and now chef following Romagnoli’s departure – Tom Hutrel joins and confirms his participation in the Gallo adventure. With this major recruit, Jacopo continues to expand the ranks behind the stoves of his new restaurant. Alongside Remi Gauthier, Corentin Laporte and Jérôme Delamotte, who also keep the pianos burning, a creative gastronomic wind is undeniably blowing through this restaurant, which has only just begun to write beautiful gourmet pages.
