Sant Ambroeus arrives in Paris

Alongside La Langosteria, the chain (yes, we can use that unflattering term, but it’s quite meaningful when you’re spreading your wings outside your home country) of Sant Ambroeus continues to expand across the globe. Known for its elegant Italian gastronomy and desserts, the company set up shop in Milan in 1936, before opening in 1982 in New York’s upscale Upper East Side. Success was meteoric, and over the years, five restaurants were opened in the Big Apple alone. Back to Paris, where the hexagonal version of Sant Ambroeus will take its place at 22, rue Guillaume-Apollinaire, in place of the former famous Bilboquet. The arcade is located just behind Les Deux Magots and Café Flore. It’s a prime location, and one that’s sure to thrill diners as they sample the famous pandoro, the Italian pastry that’s the house specialty. Opening scheduled for autumn.
