Mare et Monti Becomes Arno
In Geneva’s Old Town, Jonathan Street and chef Luca Larrieu are taking the restaurant in a new direction. The two men share a common culinary sensibility and a desire to offer cuisine that is refined, generous, and accessible.
Take the time
Under the nameArno, the restaurant focuses on fresh, unprocessed ingredients prepared on-site, and on prices that Jonathan aims to keep affordable. The goal is simple: to become a neighborhood lunch spot, then a place to gather in the evening—whether as a couple or in a group—around food that makes you want to take your time.
Wine also plays a central role. The wine cellar is gradually expanding, with the stated goal of making the restaurant a go-to destination in Geneva. The former grocery store, on the left side of the restaurant, is being transformed into a bar, designed for aperitifs, after-work gatherings, and birthday parties, while the main dining room retains its role as a place for dinner. A new name, a team that believes in the venue, and a desire to breathe new life into it. We can’t wait for the next tasting…
