The Chalet des Étoiles reopens its doors to celebrate winter nights as they should be: exclusive fondue, cosy atmosphere and a mountain spirit that warms Geneva all by itself.

Some places seem cut out for winter. Others reinvent it. The Chalet des Étoileshidden beneath the Eaux-Vives town hall next to Chez Calvinis back until February 20 with a simple promise: to offer Geneva a night-time refuge where everything smells of mountains, festivities and generosity. Descend a few steps, push open a discreet door, and suddenly the scene changes. The carnotzet has been completely reinvented: a speakeasy to get you in the mood, twenty-five seats that fight it out every night, and that delicious feeling of being somewhere else, far from the hustle and bustle of the city center. On the menu, nothing but the real thing: well-sourced planks, raclette, fondue made in collaboration with the Bruand cheese dairy at Les Halles de Rive, meringues with double cream… everything you need to rekindle your heart in the middle of winter. Large tables are welcomed in a festive spirit. The space can even become entirely yours for an evening (provided you play along). And for those who arrive in a group without privatizing, a formula has been devised to ensure that no one leaves hungry.
