Just Taste Kids Competition

Why should culinary competitions be the exclusive preserve of grown-ups? Once again, Valérie Blanc showcases the talents of little budding cooks in her next book from Éditions Juste du Goût Kids, “Interdit aux + de 12 ans”. Launched to determine the ambassador of the book, to be published in 2025 on the theme of Geneva’s terroir, everyone is welcome. Young competitors have until February 26 to send a recipe and photo to [email protected]. This culinary creation must be easy to prepare, a cold starter, without the use of an oven, and contain mainly local products. An exceptional jury comprising Stéphanie Vuadens (Stéphanie’s honeys), Caroline Buechler (Orfève chocolates), Freddy Garanjoud (chef at Matière restaurant), Stéphane Faval (chef at EHG) and Valérie Blanc will have the tough task of drawing five finalists. The finalists will be invited to the École Hôtelière de Genève on Saturday, March 8, where they will each have to remake their own recipe and present it to the jury, who will render their verdict. The prize for the winner is two pages in the book, with his or her portrait, a photo of the recipe and a few words about why he or she likes to cook.
