Starting January 1, 2027, the three wineries in French-speaking Switzerland will unite under the name Vins d’Histoire(s). This marks a new chapter for these family-owned businesses, which collectively have a history spanning nearly three centuries.

Berthaudin, Morand Brothers and Vogel Vins are joining forces. Effective January 1, 2027, their merger will give rise to Vins d’Histoire(s), an entity that will bring together an expanded selection of Swiss and international wineries, while retaining the teams that introduce them to the public.

300 Years of Stories

Behind this merger are their shareholders: Anne-Christine Erlekam-Vogel, Julien-V.-A. Vogel, and Pierre-Igor Cusnir. Together, they aim to provide a sustainable foundation for companies that collectively boast nearly 300 years of history. “We could have waited for the market to force us to do this. We preferred to make the choice ourselves,” the partners explain.

For customers, this merger will provide an opportunity to discover more wineries, both Swiss and international. Some winemakers have, in fact, maintained ties with these companies for over sixty years—a loyalty that the new entity intends to continue.

The teams will remain in place, as will our relationships with our consulting sommeliers. Three branches—in Geneva, Lausanne, and Bulle—will maintain our presence in French-speaking Switzerland. A single name, then, to carry on multiple stories, alongside the women and men who built them.
