At the Alcazar, dinner takes center stage again
At 62 Rue Mazarine, Walter Butler—who also owns the Paradis Latin—has breathed new life into this venue, which first opened in 1968. Beneath the glass roof, the stage has been restored to its place in the center of the room. From Thursday through Sunday, theAlcazar comes alive to the rhythm of a mix of songs, dances, and performances throughout the meal. On other evenings, music accompanies a more casual, à la carte dinner.
A Cooking Duo
In the kitchen, Zouhair Bouhlal and Guillaume Lutard draw on the French culinary tradition: pâté en croûte, onion soup, roast poultry, and even rum baba. These classics are complemented by Mediterranean and Italian influences, stemming in particular from Zouhair Bouhlal’s culinary background. Guillaume Lutard, for his part, is already familiar with the restaurant and its rhythm. Together, the two chefs must bring this cuisine to life, whether during an à la carte dinner or between segments of the show. Now it’s time to discover this new incarnation of a venue that has long been a highlight of Parisian nightlife.
