Before books, travel and television, there was a clueless, nervous and already deeply magnetic young Anthony Bourdain. The film "Tony" goes back to the character's origins.

Anthony Bourdain continues to fascinate far beyond the world of gastronomy. This time, it’s the cinema that’s returning to his origins. The first trailer for the film “Tony”, dedicated to the youth of the American chef who died in 2018, has just been released. The story takes a different route: that of a summer in 1975, in Provincetown, where a young 19-year-old dreamer arrives in the kitchens almost by chance, with a desire to write rather than cook. In the lead role, Dominic Sessa – revealed in “The Holdovers” – plays a still raw, insolent Anthony Bourdain, also a little lost. Opposite him, Antonio Banderas plays the chef who will gradually open the doors to a world that will devour him as much as it reveals him. Directed by Matt Johnson, the trailer reminds us that, before becoming a global icon of food and travel, Anthony Bourdain was above all a kid looking for his place. WATCH THE TRAILER
