It was the image of Anton Ego – the terrible food critic in the animated film Ratatouille, dropping his fork after tasting the famous Provencal dish of the same name – that came to mind when I savored chef Ciro Ascione’s saffron gnocchi. It wasn’t a childhood memory (my mother used to make me legendary spaghetti with pesto), but rather a feeling of indescribable happiness. Attention gourmets, these gnocchi are perhaps the best I’ve ever had. So, without hesitation, hurry and try them at Ciro Trattoria Gourmet of course!
