Raphaël Maunichy at l’Artichaut
As a young student, Raphaël Maunichy discovered the business at the multinational fast-food company with the famous yellow M logo. He quickly became hooked, preferring the restaurant business to business studies, which he later abandoned. He went on to become manager of the Paul Bocuse group’s Brasserie Sud, where he worked for over 2 years. The proximity of Geneva and Lyon opened the doors to the Windows Hotel d’Angleterre, where he enjoyed a few months as chef de rang and then assistant maître d’.
Thereafter, experience followed experience. At the Lion d’Or in Cologny, he trained as a sommelier while working as a chef de rang. The emotions that drive him and that he transmits with ease are rooted in this vast field for which he is going to develop a passion. From the Lion d’Or, he moved on to the Cheval Blanc and now to the l’Artichaut. To our great delight and his own, because after all, there’s nothing like shared pleasure, he regularly changes the wine list and takes us on a tour of lesser-known nuggets. Hunting season is here at l’Artichaut, and you can trust Raphaël Maunichy to help you make the right wine choices!
