Wine evening at Woodward’s
Wine evenings are in full swing in the beautiful city of Calvin. For its first wine event, the Woodward is pulling out all the stops, inviting Caroline Frey to an exceptional dinner on September 24. After taking over the management of Château La Lagune at just 24 years of age, the winemaker has revitalized Domaines Paul Jaboulet Aîné, including the prestigious La Chapelle, as well as Château Corton C, to great critical acclaim. Today, she is devoting her vision and expertise to an ambitious new vineyard in Valais. In the kitchen, chef Olivier Jean concocts an exceptional menu for the occasion, with trout paired with Gruyère double cream, or steamed sea bass with marinated shimeji mushrooms. On the wine side, you’ll find the chalet de mon Jardin Secret in magnum, a Petite Arvine, a Crozes-Hermitage from Domaine de Thalabert, Hermitage La Chapelle, a white Hermitage Le Chevalier de Sterimberg in 2018 and Grains Nobles from Benoît Dorsaz.
