The French hotel group invests in Rome with a major project designed by Rodolphe Parente: an 83-room hotel and rooftop swimming pool facing the Colosseum.

After Venice and Il Palazzo Experimental, the hotel group continues to chart its Italian course with a new address in the Eternal City. Next spring, the Experimental Roma will open its doors at 46 via Ludovisi, a stone’s throw from Via Veneto and the sumptuous Swiss Institute of Rome. The building, a former office block, will be completely redesigned by Rodolphe Parente, an architect and designer trained by Andrée Putman, to create a setting where Roman elegance meets urban modernity. Inside: 83 rooms and suites, a restaurant bathed in light under a glass roof, an Experimental Cocktail Club Roma bar, and, as a highlight, a rooftop swimming pool with a breathtaking view of the Colosseum and the golden roofs of the Italian capital. Following on from the Chalet de Val d’Isère inaugurated last December and the recent opening of the Experimental Marais in Paris, this latest step confirms the vitality of a group that has never ceased to combine hospitality, creativity and a sense of place. Bravo to theExperimental Group.
