L’Unesco and the Relais & Châteaux announce the signing of a partnership agreement to set up joint projects aimed at contributing to the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity through the knowledge and traditions of hospitality and cuisine around the world. “R the partnership with Unesco was an obvious choice for our association; our aim is to accompany change, to continue to rethink the models of our houses in order to associate travel, a source of personal enrichment, with environmental, social and societal objectives”, explains Laurent Gardinier, President of Relais & Châteaux. Thanks to their profession, the 580 member houses of the Relais & Châteaux network in 65 countries are in daily contact with communities of all origins, as well as with nature in all its diversity and infinite richness. This is the background to the partnership between Unesco and the association, whose commitments underline the importance of the interconnection between food, health and the environment.
