After the Street Food Festival, the Plaine de Plainpalais will soon be vibrating to the rhythm of Oktoberfest... in Geneva.

From the heart of Munich to the Plaine de Plainpalais, it’s just a short step… or almost. This popular festival, renowned the world over for its authentic atmosphere, is coming to Geneva for the first time with a clear ambition: to create the must-see event of the autumn season (September 25 to October 5). At the helm? The organizers of the Geneva Beer Festival (supported by the organizers of the Geneva Street Food Festival and the Noël au Quai), with the aim of evolving their concept and offering an immersive, festive and resolutely Genevan experience.

“We want to retain the essence of this Bavarian tradition, while adding our local DNA: 100% Swiss products, Genevan craft beers, traditional entertainment and a constant concern for sustainability. In short, a journey between the Alps and Bavaria, without leaving Plainpalais,” say the organizers.

A huge, generously decorated tent, in the image of Munich’s great Festzelt, will accommodate up to 600 guests per lunch and dinner service. Around the Grande Tente, the Plaine de Plainpalais will become a veritable party village. Twenty food trucks and stands will treat visitors to a variety of gourmet dishes, designed to go well with a nice cold beer (or a nice cold tea for the little ones). Welcome toOktoberfest Genf version!
