Le Bibendum closes its doors
Chef Claude Bosi has permanently closed his London gastronomic lair, Claude Bosi at Bibendum, after struggling to reach an agreement with his landlords. The two Michelin-starred restaurant handed back the keys early last week, while the Oyster Bar also closed its doors at the end of August. In an announcement posted on Instagram, Claude Bosi and his wife Lucy said, “It is with deep sadness that we announce the closure of the Claude Bosi restaurant on August 25 and that of the Oyster Bar after service on the 31st of the same month. Despite our best efforts, we have been unable to reach an agreement with our partners and owners to allow the Maison Michelin to write a new chapter.” The couple continued: “It is with regret that we confirm that bookings after these dates have been cancelled and we are sincerely sorry for any disappointment this may cause.” A gastronomic page is turned… let’s hope a beautiful story begins soon.
