The year 2025 marks a major milestone for Schenk Suisse SA with the inauguration of its ecochai in Rolle, an avant-garde project that symbolizes the company's commitment to sustainability, local roots and heritage.

The new Schenk Switzerland SA is a model of innovation and environmental respect. Built from recycled or locally-produced materials, it operates without the use of fossil fuels. A few figures to give you an idea of the scale of the project: 160 m³ of soil reclaimed on site to build raw earth walls, 1,400 m² of solar panels equivalent to the annual consumption of 260 households, 600 m³ of recycled glass used to insulate the foundations, 2,800 m³ of cork from cork stopper manufacturing waste used to insulate walls and roofs, 2,700 m³ of standing Vaud spruce that produced 1,950 m³ of wood for the frames, facades, intermediate slabs and roofs. “Our sector is facing major challenges, particularly in terms of sustainable viticulture and adaptation to climate upheavals, which are exerting direct and unprecedented pressure on our terroirs. To meet these challenges, we have taken concrete steps to reduce our carbon footprint, optimize our practices and rethink the viticulture of tomorrow, while preserving both the environment and the quality of our products,” says André Fuchs, Managing Director for Switzerland.
