For foodies who make the occasional detour to the Cité Phocéenne, this news may be of interest. After a period of closure, the Poissonnerie Kennedy in Marseille’s Malmousque district reopened its doors a few weeks ago. At the helm of this new version is Christophe Juville, who has taken over the adjacent arcade and turned it into a brighter space. Gone is the small convenience store, and hello a more comfortable restaurant that hasn’t lost its soul. With a completely open kitchen, chef Thomas Assioma has given free rein to his imagination by exploring the Mediterranean seabed. I’ll say no more, as a future gourmet chronicle will be devoted entirely to this lively and atypical place.
