Chef Jérémy Desbraux of the Maison Wenger in Noirmont is named Gault&Millau's Chef of the Year 2026.

At this stage, the hotel and gourmet restaurant could be called La Maison Desbraux. Alongside his wife, Anaëlle Roze, chef Jérémy Desbraux continues to illuminate Swiss gastronomy with his talent, and to embellish the famous Maison Wenger in the small Jura town of Noirmont. Formerly chef Franck Giovannini’s lieutenant at the Hôtel de Ville restaurant in Crissier, Jérémy has a solid background and experience, and has succeeded over the years in finding his own culinary path. During a gourmet escapade in June, we feasted on aFrench toast with Gurmels snails, a Franches-Montagnes bear garlic reduction, followed by a magnificent sweetbread from Romandie, gilded with Reussilles butter and braised spring onion jus. A chef, a couple, a brigade, a team – enough to enthuse the whole region and beyond!
