In Saint Barth, the Guanahani stops by Les Airelles
In Saint-Barthélemy, Le Guanahani is set to change its brand. Stéphane Courbit acquired the property through his holding company, LOV Group, as reported by Le Journal de Saint-Barth. Rosewood will cease managing the property on October1, ahead of its reopening under the Les Airelles , scheduled for November1, 2026.
From Courchevel to Venice
Opened in 1986 and later rebuilt after Hurricane Irma, the hotel welcomed guests again in 2021. Its 66 rooms and suites are spread across a property of approximately 7.3 hectares. The purchase price remains confidential, although local real estate sources suggest it could exceed 200 million euros.
According to the local newspaper, the staff will remain in place, and the initial changes will mainly involve the decor. For Les Airelles, which already has locations in Courchevel, Gordes, Versailles, Saint-Tropez, and Venice, this takeover marks the beginning of a new chapter in the Caribbean. The details of the upcoming dining experience have yet to be finalized.
