First coffee for Christophe Renou
Eight years after enchanting the Carouge district with his sweet creations, famous pastry chef Christophe Renou is back at the table. At the end of October, the Meilleur ouvrier de France inaugurated the very first Renou Café, right next door to his historic patisserie. An intimate, elegant place – green marble, blond parquet flooring, copper shelving – where you can experience pastry in a different way. Early-morning Viennoiseries, signature sweets, Betjeman & Barton exclusives and teas: everything is designed to make you linger, taste and savour. Anchored in the Carouge of yesteryear, but looking to the future. After boutiques in Halle de Rive, Eaux-Vives and Vernier, this new-style tea room is the first step in a planned roll-out in French-speaking Switzerland. There’s no stopping the pastry chef with the blue-white-red collar.
