The fifth edition of the Mérite Culinaire Suisseorganized by the Fondation pour la Promotion du Goût, took place at the elegant Bellevue Palace. The distinction of “Cuisinier-Chef” was awarded by Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin to Dominique Gauthierin recognition of his significant influence on Swiss gastronomy. Created to showcase Swiss talent, the award is a celebration of culinary art, savoir-faire and respect for authentic regional products. It is awarded each year by a national jury of 15 experts – chefs and journalists – from Switzerland’s three main linguistic regions. “Receiving this title is an immense honor, rewarding a career marked by hard work and passion, but also by a willingness to work with those involved in local agriculture. “says Dominique Gauthier.
