F.P. Journe chef Dominique Gauthier receives the Mérite Culinaire Suisse 2024 award.

The fifth edition of the Mérite Culinaire Suisseorganized by the Fondation pour la Promotion du Goût, took place at the elegant Bellevue Palace. The distinction of “Cuisinier-Chef” was awarded by Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin to Dominique Gauthierin recognition of his significant influence on Swiss gastronomy. Created to showcase Swiss talent, the award is a celebration of culinary art, savoir-faire and respect for authentic regional products. It is awarded each year by a national jury of 15 experts – chefs and journalists – from Switzerland’s three main linguistic regions. “Receiving this title is an immense honor, rewarding a career marked by hard work and passion, but also by a willingness to work with those involved in local agriculture. says Dominique Gauthier.
