Formerly Michel Roth's right-hand man at Le Bayview restaurant in the Hôtel Président Wilson, David Devel recently joined the kitchens of the Mandarin Oriental in Geneva.

Same shore, different establishment. David Devel is still with us. Against all odds, he takes over the kitchens at the Mandarin Oriental as Executive Chef. Swapping his white kitchen jacket for a black one (to reflect the colors of his new employer), the former disciple of Guy Savoy has the onerous task of rekindling the flame in the hotel’s kitchens after the departure of Laurent Wozniak. For several months now, he has been in charge of banquets, catering, roomservice and the bar. Pending the arrival of Yottam Ottolenghi to replace Gaston Acurio at the Yakumanka restaurant, David Devel continues his gastronomic career in Geneva.
