Alexandre Mazzia at the Mucem

Following the call for expressions of interest launched by the Mucem at the end of 2024, it is the project signed by Alexandre Mazzia and Sodexo Live! was chosen to occupy and enliven the J4 building’s restaurant spaces until 2036. The three-starred chef from Marseille and the leader in catering for exceptional venues and events will offer a culinary experience in keeping with the Mucem’s identity and values: Mediterranean, lively and popular. Restaurant J4 (final name to be announced), with its breathtaking view of the Mediterranean and the Cathedral de la Major, will embody the spirit of a Marseilles bouillon celebrating Mediterranean cuisine, with a menu designed by Alexandre Mazzia. Opening is scheduled for autumn 2025. La Terrasse, a friendly, accessible space dedicated to street food, will offer gourmet creations and echo the emblematic offering of the famous “Michel par AM” foodtruck, well known to Marseillais. This unique experience will be available from summer onwards, with counter service. In the spring, the Kiosque in the public reception area, designed for on-the-go consumption, will offer a range of products echoing “Michel par AM”, with plant-based compositions.
