A new manager at Arakel
Émeline Gigaud joined the Joël Robuchon adventure in Monaco after a remarkable stint as sommelier at the Hôtel Cap Estel in Èze. It was a professional experience she describes as “the most memorable and decisive of my career”. In 2020, Émeline crossed the Channel to the British capital, where she landed a job at Sketch, chef Pierre Gagnaire’s three-star establishment. Émeline worked in a private London club before signing with a major distribution company, while at the same time offering her wine advice to several restaurants in the process of opening. She meets Julien Samson, current director and head sommelier for the Arakel group, during his visit to the principality. The two kept in touch. Once the position became available, it was only natural that this talented sommelier should jump at the chance. We look forward to meeting her on September1 at Arakel !
