Through his family holding company, Bernard Arnault has just acquired the Cap Estel hotel in Èze, demonstrating his growing interest in the luxury hotel business.

The French entrepreneur recently set his sights on one of the Côte d’Azur’s finest hotel jewels. Perfectly situated between Nice and Monaco, the confidential 5-star hotel is nestled on a two-hectare private peninsula in Èze. With barely twenty rooms, the Cap Estel promises to be a unique new rendezvous for an upscale, discreet international clientele. After the acquisition, by his LVMH group, of prestigious brands – Belmond, Cheval Blanc, Bulgari… – and stakes in Orient Express (Accor) and Domaines de Fontenille, the French billionaire continues to expand his hotel empire. With an existing gourmet restaurant, current chef Kévin Garcia offers top-flight cuisine, such as raw marinated gamberoni with strawberry vinegar sabayon, or roast lamb with tarragon and garlic cream. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the development of this magnificent establishment.
