260 years of hushed pleasures at Lapérouse
In 2026, the legendary Left Bank house celebrates its 260th anniversary. An anniversary that celebrates much more than a number: a certain idea of Paris, made up of freedom, whispered secrets and timeless elegance. Behind its discreet doors, Lapérouse has always cultivated the art of intimacy. Private rooms, patinated woodwork, mirrors steeped in history… Here, intimacy becomes luxury. And the myth remains of diamond-engraved glasses made by visiting celebrities. To mark the occasion, the house, under the impetus of Benjamin Patou, is rolling out a year-long program designed as a dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation. The program includes a Grands Chefs dinner orchestrated by Romain Fornell, a birthday cake by Cake Boy, the publication of a book by Assouline, and collaborations with Messika and Maison Trudon. At 260 years of age, Lapérouse is certainly not standing still. It reinvents itself, true to its spirit, and continues to write the story of a Paris that is alive, sensual and resolutely timeless.
