The family restaurant Kakinuma remains a Japanese institution in Geneva’s gastronomic sky. Located at the beginning of rue Henri-Blanvalet since 2006, Sho and her husband, chef Shinya Kakinuma, have been as much precursors as visionaries in view of the craze for this street in recent years. This humble, affable family has touched and delighted us with their precise, meticulous Japanese cuisine, always in keeping with the rules of the art. With Yoss and Kohei, the next generation takes up the torch with gourmet projects like the Temakis Bars at Le Bon Génie. in Vésenaz and on the quays of the Right Bank, as well as the trendy street food association with Ivalú Acurio and his Sando-Burgers. With the onset of winter weather, our preference is for hot dishes such as onigiri gyu rosu: thin slices of rib steak sautéed in teriyaki sauce. Served with a mixed salad and a bowl of rice. A warm welcome…
