We’re all familiar with this landmark for gourmets who love contemporary Indian cuisine set against the backdrop of a winegrowing paradise. Eight years already! Eight years since owner Morad El-Hajjaji opened the “little” Inda-Bar. Inda-Bar in a Rue Henri-Blanvalet that was already beginning to look like a gastronomic party. Over the years, this establishment has never been empty, and has even achieved the coveted status of institution. A distinction richly deserved as much for its culinary consistency as for its outstanding wine list and efficient service. During a recent visit, we sampled some of the restaurant’s signature dishes, always in the sharing mode. Honor the fish with the honey, coriander and mustard salmon tikka and fennel cream. While the poultry tikka is a subtly spiced Indian anthem, the butter chicken delights with its basmati rice topped with a delicate sauce. With a grand cru or a cocktail, let yourself be (re)seduced by this Geneva institution in the heart of Eaux-Vives.
