Immerse yourself in an immaculate white universe where nutrition rhymes with restoration. Welcome to Docteur Djoon's clinic.

Who’d have thought it? Me, your faithful servant, treading the entrance to this clinic where nutrition rhymes with tasting. Under normal circumstances, I have to admit that nothing would have attracted me to this immaculate white medical space on the Rond-Point-de-Rive. After receiving a friendly invitation over the internet, which I declined as usual, curiosity won out, as the concept (it has to be said) intrigued me with its originality and boldness. We know that Geneva doesn’t appreciate innovation or novelty. Does Doctor Djoon’s clinic have a chance of holding its own in Calvinist Geneva? Who’s really behind this mysterious Doctor Djoon? Let’s go and discover a restaurant that clearly displays its nutritional ambitions.

Space Odyssey

It’s true that the place could surprise any gourmand in search of gastronomic salvation. Everything is white. All clean (fortunately, we’re in a clinic). Nevertheless, the space dedicated to catering remains surprising. After taking possession of the premises, astonishment gives way to fullness and calm. Then, to my great surprise, I learn in the course of a discussion that Doctor Djoon doesn’t exist and that this clinic, which specializes in dermatology and cosmetic surgery, is in fact the work of Doctor Neda Barouti.

Having worked in the kitchens of the Millennium complex in Crissier and the Royal Savoy in Lausanne, chef Eric Kutlu offers a menu where Omega-3 and antioxidants are at the heart of the nutritional objective. A selection of sushi awaits diners at Docteur Djoon: California rolls, nigiri and sashimi are all on the menu, but it’s the pizza that really stands out, with its crispy rice base topped with finely chopped pieces of spicy tuna. A worthy and spicy introduction.

Red curry

It’s the red poultry curry, rich in vitamin B, that’s making our eyes water. Without comparing it to Indian or Thai curries, Chef Kutlu’s is an exquisite success. Subtly flavored, this dish cajoles the consumer, stimulates the nervous system and keeps the body running smoothly… promise, it’s the Doctor who says so.

Without imposing a moralizing doctrine, the restaurant at Dr. Joon’s clinic is a joyful surprise that fulfills its nutritional as well as sensory contract. It’s not the place to go on a first date, but it’s nevertheless a very pleasant place to sit down for a gourmet interlude.
