Beaune is as famous for its hospices as it is for its great wine-growing terroirs. Historically, Beaune has been one of Burgundy’s finest winegrowing regions. Domaine Jacques Prieur has inherited this magnificent heritage and is now brilliantly exploiting the Premier Cru “Champs-Pimont”. Fanny Delubac at Berthaudin SA.
Here, the Pinot Noir grape benefits from a very clayey soil, guaranteeing colorful, powerful wines. Long, controlled ageing channels and lengthens the fruit of this cuvée. Precise, delicate tannins bring structure to the palate with a saline, smoky finish. In a record-breaking 2018 vintage, this cuvée should have a place of choice in your cellar. Lovers of this grape variety and of young wine, this bottle is ready to delight you. For the more patient, it will reward you in 5 to 7 years.
