From art history to cuisine, let's dive into the musical universe of Tamara Hussian, young chef at Anouch restaurant.

Last year, Tamara Hussian left the kitchens of Bleu Nuit to open Anouchwhich is adjacent to the Wilde gallery, with a shared space accessible to both establishments. The young chef’s cuisine can now be enjoyed amongst contemporary works of art. Like the decor, which evolves with each new exhibition, the menu varies according to new arrivals. In harmony with nature and people, Tamara makes it a point of honor to work with local, micro-seasonal produce, respectful of the environment and harmless to animal species.

Morning music, night music

At Chez Anouch, a feeling of well-being pervades. To the sound of varied playlists, the chef creates comforting dishes in an enchanting atmosphere. Music plays an important role in Tamara’s daily life. Each piece has a time value, and gives rhythm to every moment of her life: “there’s morning music, and then there’s evening music”. And even if her playlist today features a selection of songs by Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin or Nina Simone, it’s also in a French rap atmosphere from the 90s and 2000s that we find the chef and her cooks in the kitchen!

The restaurant’s playlist is constantly evolving. Tomorrow, you’ll surely be greeted with a new menu, a new playlist and new works of art, in the heart of the Banques district, at Anouch. And if you’d like to learn more about Tamara and her world, her book, written in collaboration with David Rosenberg, will be out soon… In the meantime, enjoy your listening!
